Jorge Gómez, coach of the Necaxa women's team in Mexico, is under scrutiny after being accused by five players and the assistant coach of sleeping with and having sexual relations with minors, as well as exploiting his status to make sexist comments.

According to 'AS', Gómez, 42 years old, routinely invited players to his house, where they ended up participating in parties involving alcoholic beverages. Not only that, but as per the same source, he sought to have sexual relations with his athletes - some of whom were minors - and in exchange, he guaranteed them a starting position on the team. If they did not accept, they were immediately replaced or left the club.

'There are underage players who ended up sleeping with him because he promised to boost their careers. I know of minors he slept with. Many players are afraid of him. Evidence has been presented to the management, including photos, audios, videos, prints. Even the parents know...' one of the players reported, as quoted by 'AS'.

The same publication also recounts another incident involving Jorge Gómez: 'The two [coach and player] were at a party in his apartment, he took her to the bedroom and started to pull down her pants. She said no, pushed him away, and he left. The next day, he sent her a message apologizing, saying he was drunk,' it was reported.

It should be noted that the same players also claim that the coach verbally abused some athletes, mainly regarding their weight: 'If we were not within the ideal weight, he would say that we were fat'.
