Young Dutch striker Emanuel Emegha scored early in the game for Strasbourg on Saturday evening, and Jonathan Clauss helped Marseille to secure a point at Stade de la Meinau. Gattuso had nothing positive to say about his team's performance.

'I really have no idea why we played the way we did. I am really furious about the second half. That was crap, a disaster,' Gattuso said in a press conference. 'I take all the responsibility, but it's a mystery to me how this could have happened.'

'It must become very clear that as a player, you carry a great responsibility when you wear the Marseille shirt. I'd rather lose 4-0 in a game where you show courage than earn a point this way. I also asked the players what was wrong.'

'I really want an explanation for this. And I still expect one from them. It was a worthless performance. This was the worst game since I have been here,' said Gattuso, who joined the upcoming European opponent of Ajax at the end of September. Marseille is in the twelfth position in Ligue 1.
