After a season of limited playing time at Brighton, where he accumulated only 512 minutes in the Premier League, Ansu Fati is back at Barcelona. In an interview with Mundo Deportivo on Monday, he emphasized that his plan is to return to top form with the Catalan giants.

"I scored the last goal at Camp Nou and hopefully, I can score the first [after the stadium renovations]. Ultimately, my intention is to continue showing that I can contribute greatly to this club. It was a pleasure playing at Brighton, but now I am back at my club, and for me, playing at Barça is the highest ambition. Since I arrived here at the age of 10, my ambition has been to succeed at Barça. These past few years have not been easy, but that's part of football. I'm 21 years old and I need to keep growing, but I have the ambition to repay all the love I receive from the 'culés'. Every day I meet people on the street who encourage me and still want me here. That motivates me to keep fighting for this club and to give my best," he emphasized.

The Spanish international, who was not called up for Euro 2024, also assured that injuries are a thing of the past, affirming that he is in top physical condition.

"Right now, I am at 100%. I am working very hard because I have always felt that there is room for improvement. I spend many hours in the gym. There are people who think that Ansu is always injured, but in the end, I went two years without any injuries. I had a small injury and people focused on that, but last year I played a full season and didn't miss a single game," he emphasized.

In conclusion, the young player praised Barcelona's new coach, Hansi Flick, after having the chance to meet him earlier this season.

"I had the opportunity to meet him at Brighton; he came to visit the club one day. I was able to meet him, greet him, and shake his hand. I wish him all the best. He is coming to the best club in the world, and I am sure he will do very well," he assured.

During his loan spell at Brighton, Fati scored four goals and provided one assist in 27 matches. Despite the limited minutes, he made the most of his opportunities and showed glimpses of his potential. His time at Brighton was marked by moments of brilliance, and he is eager to build on those experiences as he returns to Barcelona.

Fati's return is highly anticipated by Barcelona fans, who have been waiting to see the young star back in action. With a renewed sense of purpose and a determination to succeed, Fati aims to become a key player for the team and help them achieve their goals in the upcoming season. His journey has been filled with challenges, but his resilience and commitment to improving himself have prepared him for this moment.

As he looks forward to the future, Fati remains focused on staying fit and giving his best for Barcelona. The support from his fans and the motivation to prove his worth are driving him to reach new heights with the club he has always dreamed of representing.
