At a young age, Manchester United secured the services of the Swedish international from the youth academy of Malmö FF. Over time, Elanga amassed 55 appearances for the first team.

Last summer, he was transferred to Nottingham Forest by Manchester United after a half-season during which the winger saw limited playing time. As a result, Elanga was determined to make a statement in the match against Manchester United.

His determination bore fruit. Eight minutes before the final whistle, Elanga delivered the crucial assist for Morgan Gibbs-White's winning goal. 'This match was personal for me; I wanted to prove that I can perform at the highest level,' he conveyed to NBC Sports. 'Last season was not easy for me. I played five or ten minutes and then didn't play for ten matches. I tried to stay strong and received support from my family during tough times.'

At Nottingham Forest, Elanga is experiencing a significant increase in playing time. By the midway point of the season, he has already surpassed his total league appearances from the previous season with Manchester United. Notably, he has contributed with four goals and six assists, showcasing a marked improvement compared to the previous season when he managed only one assist in the Premier League. 'I am very grateful to Nottingham Forest for bringing me in. Mentally, it was a tough year, but I remained hungry.'"

This additional information provides a more detailed and extended perspective on Anthony Elanga's journey and performance at Nottingham Forest.
