Germany is in a sporting crisis. It has not won five international matches in a row and sacked national team coach Hans-Dieter Flick this week. On Tuesday night, the Germans hope for a shock effect as they face France. Before the match, Griezmann revealed that he is secretly a fan of Kimmich.

"Kimmich is a bit of the general of the German team," Griezmann said at the press conference. "He plays strongly and is skilled in everything. He can play on the right, he can play as a six, and in the center. He is a true leader. You can also see that he often makes the right choices."

Although the current trend is very negative surrounding Germany, Griezmann believes that everything will turn around. "I also like Leroy Sané. He is a left-footer, just like me. And he likes to apply high pressure. They have the players who can ensure that German football gets back on track."
